Hulu Kinta is a serene and historically rich mukim (subdistrict) located in the Kinta District of Perak, Malaysia. Nestled within lush tropical greenery and hilly terrain, Hulu Kinta is best known as the start point of the Kinta River in Kinta District, one of Perak’s most important waterways.

This natural landmark begins its journey at Tanjung Rambutan, a tranquil town surrounded by the foothills of the Titiwangsa Range. The tranquil blue-green lake reflects the golden hues of the setting sun, creating a stunning backdrop for evening jogs and peaceful recreation.

Hulu Kinta Tanjung Rambutan is under development, near to Tambun’s luxury resorts to its outskirt mountains.

Close distance to Prominent resorts

From afar, a high-rise building stands prominently — there are the well-known development – The Haven Resort and Sunway City Ipoh which include a resort, medical centre, the upcoming largest shopping mall in Ipoh, and an education hub.

# The photos were taken from Taman Rekreasi Kolam Sungai Pinji, Tanjung Rambutan. The lake (kolam) is believed to be a remnant of past tin mining activity, formed by floodwaters from Sungai Pinji.

Extension of land through mountain carving

From a distance, there is a hillside that appears to be the site of industrial activity. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a section of the mountain being carved out for construction.

Hulu Kinta Tanjung Rambutan is apparently under development. The land of grace may God bless.
