Human civilization is developed from the jungle, creativity spans from consuming the products of nature. In art and science, the resources of jungle are used by mankind to improve lives.
Woods and roots, leaves, flowers, and fruits—they serve as foods, spices, and medicines, and are transformed by artisans and engineers into pieces in our homes, furnishing spaces that support daily life while offering aesthetic value.
While Amazon is now a world-renowned innovative e-commerce platform, its strategy spans versatile and expansive, providing rich insights through product advertising and distribution that span continents and nations.
Yet the name “Amazon” originally refers to a tropical rainforest—the largest on Earth—home to one-third of the world’s species and over 200 Indigenous and traditional communities (Nature Conservancy).
Tropical rainforests are truly inspiring. Today, I find inspiration in bamboo—one of the many species rooted in the tropical rainforest and deeply embedded in cultures around the world.
Bamboo symbolizes harmony and resilience. It grows rapidly, adapts to challenging environments, bends in strong winds as a plant, and creates music through human craftsmanship.
In Chinese idiom: 竹子随风弯曲,而不折断- Bamboo bends in the wind, but it does not break.
Bamboo, God’s creation that stimulates human creativity—not only in handcrafted arts but also in literature and beyond.
Bamboo in literature, inspiring teaching in conducting life. 修身做人当如竹
“谦虚谨慎是竹的品格,坚韧不屈是竹的气节,无私奉献是竹的风骨,高风亮节是竹的灵魂” – Humility and prudence are the character of bamboo, resilience and unyielding spirit are its integrity, selfless dedication is its moral backbone, and noble conduct is its soul.
Let’s find the noble spirit of bamboo through the form of a windchime, one of bamboo’s dedications to human creativity. Blending art and technology, preserving the beauty of nature for relaxation and enlightenment.
